The Barker Realty Offices

The main Barker Realty office is located in the historic Gross Kelly Warehouse in the historic Santa Fe Railyard.

Gross Kelly & Company was important in the history of the Southwest, expediting, transferring, and exchanging goods manufactured in the eastern United States. When it opened in Santa Fe more than 90 years ago, the Gross Kelly & Company Warehouse was an important center of commerce and the first commercial building in New Mexico sporting the Spanish Pueblo Revival architectural style. In the original building, loading docks ran the length of the building on both sides, and most of the interior was used as a large open storeroom.

Continuing their commitment to the architectural traditions of Santa Fe, David and Lisa Barker worked with architect Mark Hogan in 2000–2001 to renovate the warehouse—utilizing original rafters, steel trusses, and heavy wood floors—and transform it into a beautiful commercial space. The Gross Kelly Warehouse is an anchor tenant of the Railyard district, which is currently in the midst of revitalization.
